Gedan Barai

Low Parry: This block is NOT designed to strike the opponent since it is for blocking a kick with your hand. Instead you are directing the kick away from your body. If blocking with your right arm, the left arm goes to ready position by covering the groin area with a fist. The right fist then comes to the left ear. In the same motion the right hand sweeps down in a circular motion over the knee while the left hand returns to cover.
