Ippon Ken Zuki One Knuckle Thrust: Similar to the Ippon Nukite Zuki strike this has an advantage and a disadvantage. The hand is all closed with the thumb on top except for the one or one finger contacting. That finger is bent at the middle joint closest to the hand so as to attack with that joint. The advantage is that having the finger bent provides a stronger attack and less chance of breaking a finger. The disadvantage is that you must be much closer in range, relative to the distance of a finger, to have the same effect. The temple and an area more easily accessible than something for figer attacks (like the eye socket would be difficult) would be acceptable targets.
