Sochin Dachi

Neutral Bow Stance:
While similar to Zenkutso Dachi, this stance has two main differences. The basic position is with the feet spread apart far enough to maintain a low stance but yet still high enough to maintain balance. One foot will be in front of the other. The front foot should point straight ahead while the rear foot points at approximately 45 degrees out from the body. Both of the knees are bent with slightly more weight set on the front leg than the rear. The body, normally squarely facing foreward, is now slightly angled as to minimize target area.
