Kumade Uchi
Bear Hand Strike: This is the fourth unique strike of the Go-Ippon Kunite Kata set. The right hand begins its movement by coming back and up. The positioning of the fingers is in imitation of a claw with all fingers curled slightly inward. Instead of coming straight down on the target of the opponent, the hand is swung outward, and then in toward the side of the head. Contact should be made with the heal/palm of the hand and care should be taken as to not strike with the wrist. |
