Extra terminology

One problem that many people have is understanding terminology when placed slightly out of context. While introduced in the teachings, their meanings may not be clear. Unfortunately there is never a perfect way to translate anything, including the techniques that we teach, but hopefully this will make a little more sense out of the words that make up the phrases describing our techniques. Another site with names and Japanese symbols for many of the things we learn and some extra information is http://users.erols.com/ziring/kempo_w.htm. This page also has some other potentially useful links. Please note that this and other connected pages may show a difference in pronunciation and usage of some words from the way we use them. There are often reasons for these differences and both may be correct depending on various situations.
